GBS Road Trip New Zealand - 20 | Day 08 : Queenstown - Part 2

Hari ke 08 di bumi New Zealand !!!

"Happy birthday IH"

So park kereta terus bergegas masuk.

Masing masing teruja dan excited !

IH settlekan urusan check in pagi tu. Malangnya jawapannya hampa !

Disebabkan cuaca, jadual terjunan kami pukul 9.30 pagi terpaksa di batalkan.

Choice yang ada?

Kami kena tunggu untuk jadual seterusnya pukul 10.30 pagi !

Pasrah.

Isi perut sampai kenyang then keboringan. Nak alih kereta takut nanti dah tak dapat parking royal macam tu.

Akhirnya kami sepakat, tinggalkan kereta dan kami merayau sekitar pekan Queenstown ni dulu.

Jom kita jalan dulu ke arah tepi Lake Wakatipu sambil usha pekan Queenstown ni di waktu siang.

Statue William Gilbert Rees

William Gilbert Rees (6 April 1827 — 31 October 1898) was an explorer, surveyor, and early settler in Central Otago, New Zealand. He and fellow explorer Nicholas von Tunzelmann were the first Europeans to settle the Wakatipu basin. Rees is regarded as the founder of Queenstown.

Pinggir tasik

Queenstown (Māori: Tāhuna) is a resort town in Otago in the south-west of New Zealand's South Island.

It is built around an inlet called Queenstown Bay on Lake Wakatipu, a long thin Z-shaped lake formed by glacial processes, and has spectacular views of nearby mountains such as The Remarkables, Cecil Peak, Walter Peak and just above the town; Ben Lomond and Queenstown Hill.

Queenstown has an urban population of 14,300 (June 2016), making it the 27th largest urban area in New Zealand. In 2016, it overtook Oamaru to become the second largest urban area in Otago, behind Dunedin.

Queenstown is known for being the centre of adventure and outdoor tourism with options like skiing, jet boating, mountain biking and tramping, and is known as the home of the first modern bungy jump. For people that want a more relaxed time, you can spend your time fly-fishing and hiking to enjoy in the area. After a hard day in the outdoors, go explore Queenstown's absolutely wonderful night life with a few good beers.

Layan Qiueenstown di sekitar kawasan pinggir Lake Wakatipu.

Clock tower di Queenstown

Pusing pusing keliling membawa kami semula ke tempat nzone Skydive tadi. Hampir sejam jugak lah kami merayap. Just pusing pusing ikut kaki.

Cuaca masih tak menentu. Kejap gelap, kejap ada sinar mentari. Banyak kali hujan turun lebat dan rintik bersilih ganti. Memungkinkan plan kami bakal terkubur lagi.

"Back up plan?"

Masing masing diam.

Sebab kami dah memang plan dan booking nak skydiving so aktiviti lain macam tak leh nak buat kami rasa teruja dah.

Masih mencuba untuk skydiving di sini !

Masuk lagi

Check in lagi sekali

"OK. We'll come back at 12.00 am"

Tu lah ayat pasrah masing masing di pagi tu.

Keluar dan masih buntu dengan arah tuju

Singgah beli kopi dulu

Nak duduk kat situ macam bosan. Mundar mandir tanpa tujuan.

Lake Wakatipu

Lake Wakatipu is an inland lake (finger lake) in the South Island of New Zealand. It is in the southwest corner of the Otago Region, near its boundary with Southland. Lake Wakatipu comes from the original Māori word Whakatipu wai-māori.

With a length of 80 kilometres (50 mi), it is New Zealand's longest lake, and, at 291 km2 (112 sq mi), its third largest. The lake is also very deep, its floor being below sea level, with a maximum depth of 380 metres (1,250 ft). It is at an altitude of 310 metres (1,020 ft), towards the southern end of the Southern Alps. The general topography is a reversed "N" shape or "dog leg". The Dart River flows into the northern end, the lake then runs south for 30 kilometres before turning abruptly to the east. Twenty kilometres (12.4 mi) further along, it turns sharply to the south, reaching its southern end 30 kilometres (19 mi) further south, near Kingston.

The lake is drained by the Kawarau River, which flows out from the lake's Frankton Arm, 8 km (5.0 mi) east of Queenstown. Until about 18,000 years ago the Mataura River drained Lake Wakatipu. The Kingston Flyer follows part of the former river bed now blocked by glacial moraine . Queenstown is on the northern shore of the lake close to eastern end of its middle section. It has a seiche of period 26.7 minutes which, in Queenstown Bay, causes the water level to rise and fall some 200 millimetres (7.9 in).

Lake Wakatipu is renowned for its scenic beauty, being surrounded by mountains. The Remarkables mountain range lies along its southeastern edge. It is a popular venue for adventure tourism, with skifields, paragliding, bungy jumping and tramping tracks within easy reach. A vintage steamboat, the TSS Earnslaw regularly plies its waters. Several vineyards are nearby in the Gibbston Valley.

"I am sorry. I dont think you got a chance to do the skydiving today. I am sorry. Would you like to reschedule to tomorrow?"

Last sekali kami akur dengan refund jer.

* nangis kat bucu kaunter

Musnah segala impian

Punah semua harapan

Tapi kami pasrah dengan ketentuan. Kalau sudah suratan. Apa lah daya yang mampu kami lawan.

Aku suka Queenstown tapi ternyata, Queenstown bagi aku mengecewakan !

* seka airmata

I know I never loved this way before
And no one else has loved me more
With you I've laughed and cried
I have lived and died
What I wouldn't do just to be with you

I know I must forget you and go on
I can't hold back my tears too long
Though life won't be the same
I've got to take the blame
And find the strenght I need to let you go

Just walk away
Just say goodbye
Don't turn around now you may see me cry
I mustn't fall apart
Or show my broken heart
Or the love I feel for you

So walk away
And close the door
And let my life be as it was before
And I'll never never know
Just how I let you go
But there's nothing left to say
Just walk away

There'll never be a moment I'll regret
I've loved you since the day we met
For all the love you gave
And all the love we made
I know I've got to find the strenght to say

Just walk away
Just say goodbye
Don't turn around now you may see me cry
I mustn't fall apart
Or show my broken heart
Or the love I feel for you

So walk away
And close the door
And let my life be as it was before
And I'll never never know
Just how I let you go
But there's nothing left to say
Just walk away

Life ni.... sometimes.............................. memang tak seperti yang kita harapkan.

Selamat tinggal Queenstown.

bersambung.................
