Mari menyambung kembara kita di bumi Greek ni.
Lokasi seterusnya...
Good things. few major attractions di Athens ni boleh jalan kaki jer.
Worst sikit, cuaca panas berdenting !
Constructed in 11 BCE by donations from Julius Caesar and Augustus, the gate was made of 4 Doric columns and a base of Pentelic marble. It was a monument dedicated by the Athenians to their patroness Athena Archegetis.
The original Agora was encroached upon and obstructed by a series of Roman buildings, beginning with the imperial family's gift to the Athenians of a large odeion (concert hall). The Odeon of Agrippa was built by him in around 15 BC, and measured 51.4 by 43.2 metres, rose several stories in height, and – being sited just north of the Middle Stoa – obstructed the old agora. In return for the odeion, the Athenians built a statue to Agrippa at the site of the previous agora; they based it on a plinth recycled from an earlier statue by covering the old inscription with a new one.

Part of Roman Ancient Columns
Tower of the Winds
The Tower of the Winds or the Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrhestes is an octagonal Pentelic marble clocktower in the Roman Agora in Athens that functioned as a horologion or "timepiece". It is considered the world's first meteorological station. Unofficially, the monument is also called Aerides (Greek: Αέρηδες), which means Winds. The structure features a combination of sundials, a water clock, and a wind vane.
It was supposedly built by Andronicus of Cyrrhus around 50 BC, but according to other sources, might have been constructed in the 2nd century BC before the rest of the forum. In summer of 2014, the Athens Ephorate of Antiquities began cleaning and conserving the structure; restoration work was completed in August 2016
Usha. Mode rajin nak gi library ni.....
Kawasan Hadrian's Library
Berlatarbelakangkan Acropolis
The Library of Hadrian (aka Hadrian’s Library) in Athens was constructed circa 132-134 CE as part of Roman Emperor Hadrian’s grand re-building plan for the city.
The library was the largest in Athens and with its columned facade and high surrounding walls, built to impress. The building was used to store important literary works and legal and administrative documents as well as offer a place to hear lectures and host various philosophical schools.
Tetraconch - the court of the library
A three-aisled basilica (7th century)
Terdapat jugak small museum gallery kat dalam kawasan ni.
Usha usha.
Konon konon enjoying the fragments...
Cas cas minat sejarah....
Tapi sebenarnya aku nak rasa aircond ! Haks..... Siap pakej tumpang kencing sekali.
View ke arah Acropolis
Hadrian's Library
Usha FM. Beli dulu seketul dua.. Harga lebih kurang je sama.
Monastiraki Square.
Panas tak menahan.
Serious aku rasa tak leh nak berjalan dek kerana cuaca yang perit macam tu. Dah nak tengahari. Sudahnya aku duduk lepak kat corridor bangunan kat area Monastiraki Square ni.
Time rasa dah OK dan nak bergerak semula, tetiba aku rasa something kat kasut aku.
Selangkah.
Dua langkah.
Tiba tiba rasa tapak kasut terkepak !
Ah sudah... panik aku di buatnya..... Cemana ni????? Terpaksa aku jalan seret seret....
Ya Aulloh................... !
Duduk jap termenung mengenang nasib diri.
"Come on Meng... gaya kena ada. Mana boleh travel pakai kasut tapak tercabut... Malu lah ! Tak style lah. Tengok aku style kan?"
Malas nak fikir panjang panjang, kebetulan ada kedai kasut lak kat situ.
Kedai kasut
"Saya nak beli kasut. Bagi saya kasut tahan lasak, kalis peluru dan tak lut di baham harimau !"
* matilah dia hulur terompah Lady Gaga kat aku.
Mamat kedai tu terus je membanting tulang membantu aku mencari kasut yang sesuai. Yang paling sesuai tentu lah yang paling murah. Tapi paling murah pun macam mahal sebenarnya. Kelmarin beli jam. Hari ni beli kasut pulak.
Dan beli kasut baru, aku ambik port duduk tepi bangunan dan terus pakai kasut baru.
"Saya nampak ranggi tak?"
"Tak mboh.. Dok pakai doh !" * pose pose jari kat muncung bibir ala ala Dato Seri Vida
Kalau ikutkan, baiki baiki kasut ni kira aci pakai lagi. Tapi satu hal lak aku nak bawak ke hulu ke hilir plus tak de tukang kasut kat Athens ni. Sudahnya aku tinggal tepi lorong tu.
Lama kasut Jeep ni berbakti pada aku. Dah merata rata dia ikut aku travel.
"Maafkan aku Jeep. Kita terpaksa berpisah di sini. Kalau rezeki kau bertemu tuan yang baru... Kau peliharalah kaki nya agar tidak bercagu...."
* peluk Jeep sambil meratap hiba keluar air mata Ribena Laici.
Lagi pun kena jalan satu Athens nak tunjuk kasut baru kat orang kan?????
Jom jalan ke Kerameikos.
Cafe cafe
Lukisan jalanan
Bangunan
Walaupun jalan ikut bawah pokok tapi kepanasan tetap membahang. Lesu lak rasa.
Kerameikos.
Tengok dari luar rasa macam tak menarik dah. Pulak tu entrance dia macam jauh la pulak kena jalan terus.
Aku usha usha dari luar pagar jer and decided untuk patah balik je lah.
Tau tak, Kerameikos ni sebenarnya apa???
Kerameikos (Greek: Κεραμεικός, pronounced also known by its Latinized form Ceramicus, is an area of Athens, Greece, located to the northwest of the Acropolis, which includes an extensive area both within and outside the ancient city walls, on both sides of the Dipylon (Δίπυλον) Gate and by the banks of the Eridanos River. It was the potters' quarter of the city, from which the English word "ceramic" is derived, and was also the site of an important cemetery and numerous funerary sculptures erected along the road out of the city towards Eleusis.
Ya.. kubur !
Agak menyesal gak la. Buang masa je.
Patah balik... eh. jangan lupa. Kasut baru, tenaga pun mesti baru. Mahal tau walaupun Converse bongok jer.
Lalu kat cafe cafe ni balik. Rasa macam lapar jugak tapi tak tau nak makan apa.
Last sekali aku beli buah kat Monastiraki Square jugak. Plum. Murah je sebakul 1 Euro. Pastu tak abis makan terpaksa pikul ke hulu ke hilir.
Banyak lagi tempat nak pegi ni..!
* flip jump sambil tayang kasut baru..................
bersambung............
