KEMBARA BALKAN - MONTENEGRO | 03 PODGORICA : Podgorica to Budva

Lagipun aku dah check tadi bas dari Podgorica ke Budva ada setiap setengah jam so banyak bas dan aku tak de la beli tiket lagi so no need to rush !

Podgorica is the capital of Montenegro.

Besides being the capital of Montenegro, Podgorica is also the country's largest city, having a population of some 200,000 people. The city is situated in central Montenegro, in the scarce Montenegrin lowlands between Dinaric Alps and Lake Scutari.

The Podgorica area has been continuously inhabited since the Illyrian and Roman eras, with settlement on the site of today's Podgorica being firmly established during Ottoman Empire rule. Podgorica was reincorporated in Montenegro in 1878, when the city started to take a more European shape. Nazi and Allied bombings during World War II destroyed much of the historical Ottoman and Montenegro-era Podgorica architecture, and city was reborn as the capital of Montenegro in Socialist Yugoslavia (SFRY). The city was then rebuilt and expanded in a manner typical of Eastern bloc countries, so it is mostly a modern planned city, and by no means a principal sightseeing destination.

While not a typical European eye candy, the city is definitely worth visiting, owing to its interesting mix of old and new, its café culture and nightlife, and its laid back Mediterranean atmosphere. Both Montenegrin coastal cities and its mountain resorts are within one hour's drive from the city, so it is an excellent starting point for day trips to anywhere in Montenegro.

Roman Square. Kawasan tempat hiburan....

Dataran

The Roman Square (Rimski trg, Serbian Cyrillic: Римски трг) is a town square in Podgorica, the capital city of Montenegro. It's the town's major business district and boasts some of the highest real-estate prices in Podgorica. The Roman Square is colloquially known as Vektra Square (Trg Vektre, Трг Вектре), owing its name to the Vektra business centre, the first major building on the square.

The square is bordered by Moskovska ulica (Moscow street) to the east and George Washington boulevard to the west. Saint Peter of Cetinje boulevard and Bulevar Revolucije (Revolution boulevard) create the square's northern and southern borders, respectively. Rimski Trg is connected to the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ and Maxim business centre with an underground pedestrian passage, going under the St. Peter of Cetinje boulevard. The underground passage is currently the only one in the city.

Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ, Podgorica

Tengok dari jauh je. Malas nak pegi dekat.

The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ (Serbian: Саборни Храм Христовог Васкрсења or Saborni Hram Hristovog Vaskrsenja) in Podgorica, Montenegro, is a cathedral of the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The cathedral is located in the "New Town" of Podgorica, west of the Morača River.

Construction of the church of around 14,000 square feet began in 1993 to a design by Predrag Ristić.Consecration occurred on October 7, 2014 on the occasion of the 1700-year anniversary of the Edict of Milan on freedom of religion.

Nasib baik gak sepanjang jalan tu banyak pokok pokok so tak de lah membahang sangat rasa.

Moraca River dan Millennium Bridge dari kejauhan

Fikir fikir macam jauh gak nak menapak ke arah sana. So aku malas...

The Millennium Bridge (Montenegrin Cyrillic: Мост Миленијум) is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Morača River, in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The bridge was designed by the Slovenian company Ponting and Mladen Ulićević, a professor at Faculty of Civil Engineering in Podgorica. It was built by the Slovenian company Primorje, and opened on July 13, 2005, Montenegro's National Day. It quickly became one of the city's most prominent landmarks.

The bridge is 173 metres long, and the pylon soars 57 m above the roadbed. Twelve cables support the roadway deck, while twenty-four more are attached to the counterweights, creating an imposing image.

The construction of the bridge began in 2005, and the building cost was approximately 7 million euros. The roadway carries two lanes of traffic and a pedestrian walkway in each direction. The bridge connects the Boulevard of Ivan Crnojević in the city centre and July 13 street in the new part of city, thus relieving the other congested bridges connecting the city center with the densely populated districts over the Morača river.

Memang aku menapak ikut kaki je. Tak de usha usha sangat kawasan. Memang kalau tengok macam tak de yang menarik di Podgorica ni tapi kalau time winter memang menjadi tempat tumpuan untuk main ski.

Terminal Bus Podgorica

Harga tiket 6 euro plus 1 euro sebab bawak luggage.

Naik bas, layan view jap sekitar Podgorica....

View lawa dan menarik sebab kawasan berbukit bukit. Tapi sebab aku mengantuk, terlelap pulak masa dalam bas tu.

Terjaga sebab bas beroleng oleng. Rupanya aku dah sampai kawasan yang mana laluan bas kena menuruni bukit. Dari atas nampak view yang agak lawa. Montenegro Coast termasuk lah Sveti Stevan.

Kawasan menuruni bukit

Sveti Stevan

Sveti Stefan (Montenegrin pronunciation: [sv̞ê̞ːtiː stê̞faːn], lit. "Saint Stephen"; Cyrillic: Свети Стефан, Italian: Santo Stefano) is a small islet and 5-star hotel resort on the Adriatic coast of Montenegro, approximately 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) southeast of Budva.

The resort, known commercially as Aman Sveti Stefan, includes part of the mainland, where the Villa Miločer (Montenegrin: [vîla mîlɔ̝tʃe̞r]) part of the resort is located. An Adriatic playground for the rich and famous from the 1960s to the 1980s, the hotel is now a 5-star franchise hotel of the international group of Aman Resorts, completed in 2009 and operating under a 30-year lease. Formerly an island, Sveti Stefan is now connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus. The resort in total contains 50 rooms, cottages and suites on the island and 8 grand suites at the Villa Miločer.

Malam ni aku plan menginap di Kotor so kena riki riki hotel tu. Sebab kira last minit, banyak yang tak available kalau ada pun harga mahal mahal je.

"Where are you from?"
"Kuala Lumpur"
"Oh ! I know.. there is a Hard Rock Cafe in Kuala Lumpur"

Bijak bestari !

Ermm tak sempat lak aku nak lawat ni kalau belum buka.

Usha baju baju

So dah shopping. Dah dapat barang barang yang aku cari. Dah minum pun dah. Jadi masa untuk blah. Ada banyak lagi tempat aku nak pegi nak kena naik bas lagi.

Tapi alang alang dah kat Podgorica ni, baik aku usha kawasan jap.

Kawasan depan Hard Rock Cafe Podgorica. Siang siang macam tak de apa tapi malam malam memang kawasan tumpuan minum minum dan mencari hiburan.
