GBS Road Trip New Zealand - 24 | Day 10 : Auckland - Part 1

Keindahannya nanti kami bawa pulang.

Kediaman

Usha rumah ni penuh dengan pokok lemon

Nama pantainya Cheltenham Beach. Di sini lah kami tuju selepas check out pagi tu.

Relax and breathe in the fresh sea air as you explore Devonport’s famous Cheltenham beach. Marvel at the awesome sea views from the shore or take a refreshing dip in the calm ocean waters.

The long sandy stretch of Cheltenham Beach is popular with locals and visitors for swimming, strolling and relaxing! There are also grassy areas that are great for picnics and enjoying fish and chips by the beach.

Located 1.5 km away from the ferry terminal – it’s an easy and scenic walk to Cheltenham Beach. Along the route you will see beautifully restored Victorian villas – many with spectacular ocean views.

North Head can be easily accessed from Cheltenham Beach and the Vauxhall Road shops are also conveniently located nearby.

Suasana pagi

Devonport is a harbourside suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located on the North Shore, at the southern end of a peninsula that runs southeast from near Lake Pupuke in Takapuna, forming the northern side of the Waitemata Harbour. East of Devonport lies North Head, the northern promontory guarding the mouth of the harbour.

Devonport is one of Auckland’s oldest suburbs and is well known for its independent spirit and activist community. Enjoying close proximity to the CBD, it has a relaxed seaside vibe and a strong link to the arts, music & literary scene. It is also home to the NZ Navy and is the site of the Tainui Waka landing. Devonport has a rich archaeological, maritime and boat building history.

Sempat kami singgah di pasaray New World dekat Devonport tu untuk beli makanan nak breafast. Kat sini lah kebetulan kami jumpa kedai 2 Dollar Makcik Phillipines yang jual FM murah tu.

Friendly jugak dia dok borak borak dengan kami. Dia baru 2 tahun di Auckland datang ikut anak dia. Dia suka Auckland tapi dia tak suka cuaca di sini. Sejuk katanya.

Singgah cari makanan dan kudapan di New World, Davonport

Mount Victoria.

Mount Victoria is the highest volcano on Auckland's North Shore, rising to 87 m. Its age is currently unknown. Its lava flows now line much of Devonport's waterfront. An important pa once occupied its slopes, and some of the pa's earthworks can still be seen.

Mount Victoria offers panoramic views of Auckland City, Rangitoto Island, the North Shore and the Hauraki Gulf.

Over the years the peak and upper slopes have housed a signal station for shipping, artiller emplacements, farmland, and various concrete army bunkers, some from as early as the 1870s.

Water pump station

North Head ( kawasan berbukit hijau)

Maungauika is a volcano forming a headland called North Head at the east end of the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand in the suburb of Devonport.

Known for its sweeping views over the harbour and the Hauraki Gulf, since 1885 the head was mainly used by the military as a coastal defence installation, which left a network of accessible old bunkers and tunnels as its legacy, forming part of the attraction. The site was protected as part of Hauraki Gulf Maritime Park in 1972 and listed as a Category I historic place in 2001.

As part of a 2014 Treaty of Waitangi claim settlement the volcanic cone was officially named Maungauika and the reserve renamed Maungauika / North Head Historic Reserve. Maungauika is the Māori word for Mountain of Uika.

North Head

CBD Auckland

View Auckland Harbour Bridge. Kat jambatan ni boleh buat bungy jumping

Ada ramai budak budak Jepun kat atas ni. Rombongan sekolah agaknya

Melintasi Auckland Harbour Bridge

White memorial crosses are pictured on the lawn in front of the Auckland War Memorial Museum

Bangunan Auckland War Museum dengan cenotaph

The Auckland War Memorial Museum (or simply the Auckland Museum ) is one of New Zealand's most important museums and war memorials. Its collections concentrate on New Zealand history (and especially the history of the Auckland Region), natural history, as well as military history.

The museum is also one of the most iconic Auckland buildings, constructed in the neo-classicist style, and sitting on a grassed plinth (the remains of a dormant volcano) in the Auckland Domain, a large public park close to the Auckland CBD.

Bangunan muzium. Dah sampai. Saja gi usha dekat dekat

Waktu melawat

Tumpang toilet jer....

Bayaran masuk. Macam mahal gak ler

Tengah lepak kat lobby tetiba ada orang tiup benda alah ni. Simbolik orang Maori mengucapkan selamat datang kepada pengunjung muzium kot.

Sian baby ni hingus kering kat hidung. Cuaca sejuk kat luar.

Kawasan Auckland Domain. Auckland Domain is Auckland's oldest park,

Sky Tower dari kejauhan.

Ayuh !

So kena cuba cuba redah semuanya. All at once !

All at once,
I finally took a moment and I'm realizing that
Your not coming back
And it finally hit me all at once
All at once,
I started counting teardrops and at least a million fell
My eyes began to swell,
And all my dreams were shattered all at once

Ever since I met you
You're the only love I've known
And I can't forget you
Though I must face it all alone
All at once, I'm drifting on a lonely see
Wishing you'd come back to me
And that's all that matters now
All at once, I'm drifting on a lonely sea
Holding on to memories
And it hurts me more than you know
So much more than it shows
All at once

All at once,
I looked around and found that you were with another love
In someone else's arms,
And all my dreams were shattered, all at once
All at once
The smile that used to greet me brightened someone else's day
She took your smile away
And left me with just memories, all at once
