Weekend Getaway : 04 | SURIA RESTAURANT, Chow Kit KL

Masih di area berdekatan Kg Baru.

Lepas check out TAMU Hotel & Suites nak cari makan tengahari. Pegi Kg Baru banyak kedai tak bukak or makanan dah nak abis, jadi kami meriki riki kawasan untuk mengisi perut yang kosong.

Kesudahannya singgah makan pekena nasi arab.

Ikut ajaran Ustaz Waze dan dia bawak ke sini. Dekat area Chow Kit dan kami mencari cari Suria Restaurant, Kuala Lumpur. Saja nak try sebab baca review macam Okey.

Middle Eastern cuisine never ceases to be a hit in Malaysia especially when the popularity of mandy rice has raised popularity since beginning of year 2000 and ever since Middle Eastern eatery has been mushrooming all over Malaysia hence the name Restoran Suria come into being.

Tucked amid the busyness of an old heritage road name Chow Kit, Restoran Suria was established by a Syrian man that made his first step into the heart of Kuala Lumpur many years back. Being in the middle of the city centre, one must have thought that this restaurant would be dearly high priced but in fact it is the exact opposite considering that many high end Middle Eastern restaurants would fairly priced their menu at a higher price than the usual dish. But of course, portioning is never a problem when it comes to Arabian dishes so it is safe to say that any plate of Middle Eastern cuisine would be back for a buck.

Dah park kat area tu tapi tak jumpa kedainya. Pusing keliling rupanya terlindung dek khemah khemah orang menjaja.

Dah jumpa.

As usual kat belah luar ada orang buat kebab dan shawarma...

Ambik bau je dulu rasa macam menarik kot.

Restoran Suria on the other hand really provides its customers with the most delicate authenticity of Turkish and Arabian delights at a cheaper price some would claim but the taste does not at all deteriorated.

Selections of delicious cuisine are available ranging from the classic chicken mandy with a choice of mandy or khabsah rice to the ever folks favourite, the shawarma. Apparently the name ‘Suria’ is a term for the word Syria that the owner is referring to his own birthplace. Interestingly, the facade of the restaurant is not exactly awe inspiring but that does not justify the comfortable and pleasant settings of the inside with air conditioners tucked on every walls.

All in all, Restoran Suria is an absolute Middle Eastern gem that simply cannot be missed.

Usha setting dalam kedainya dulu...

Ruang makan dia ada 2 lot kedai tapi since tak de tingkap rasa agak stuffy. Aircond pulak malu malu kucing nak berfungsi. Tapi setting dia ala ala Arabian gak lah.

Ada beberapa customers sedang menjamu selera.

Dapatkan meja dan usha menu nya...

Bongok tak aku, cubaan nak ambik gambar buku menu tapi tak tengok apa benda yang di tulis. Last sekali ambik page belakang jer...

Dah lah menu dia macam katalog perabut !

Atas sebab tak berapa selesa dan kepanasan meruap.. aku order light light jer.

Tapi air kena order lebih sebab sang suria menyinari diri dengan kepanasan yang luar biasa !

Aku order shawarma je sebab tergoda bau masa kat luar tadi.

OR order kambing dan budak budak makan ayam.

Dia orang tak komen sedap dan tak jugak kata tak sedap. So so je. Kebab shawarma aku tu pun rasa biasa biasa jer. Macam kurang kick !

Tak tau la maybe tak kena dengan tekak kami or sebab nama kedai pun Suria... memang nak kena panas hangat duduk makan dalam restaurant ni kot.

Alhamdulillah lah kenyang.

Ah. Whatever lah. Ana malas fikir. Ente pegi cuba sendiri lah.
