GBS Road Trip New Zealand - 22 | Day 08 : Queenstown - Lake Tekapo

Perjalanan di teruskan lagi.

Masa untuk bergerak dan meneruskan perjalanan

Meneruskan perjalanan

Melalui kawasan Kawarau River

Dan kami singgah dekat look out point ni. Tak lama sebab hujan tetiba lebat

Kawarau River

The Kawarau River drains Lake Wakatipu, in northwestern Otago, New Zealand. The river flows generally eastwards for about 60 kilometres (37 mi) and passes through the steep Kawarau Gorge until it joins Lake Dunstan near Cromwell. The Shotover River enters it from the north; the Nevis River enters it from the south. Containing many rapids and strong currents, the river can be dangerous and has claimed many lives.

Kawarau is a Māori name the meaning of which is many shrubs. There are still many shrubs around the river although they are largely of exotic origin and likely to be different from the original native bushes that the name came from. The name should be pronounced to rhyme with "now" but is often pronounced by locals as if it were "K'worra". It should not be confused with the Bay of Plenty town "Kawerau".

Lapar.

Nasib baik ada bekalan roti dalam kereta. Lepas dapat makan baru la start borak dan excited nak bercerita pasal pengalaman buat bungy jumping tadi tu.

Tak lama lepas tu kami sampai di pekan kecil bernama Cromwell.

Cromwell is a town in Central Otago in the Otago region of New Zealand.

It is situated between State Highway 6 (linking to Wanaka, 50 km north, and Queenstown, 60 km west) and State Highway 8 leading to the Lindis Pass, 75 km northeast, and Alexandra, 33 km south. The road to Alexandra winds through the Cromwell Gorge. A point near Cromwell lies 119 kilometres from the sea, the farthest from the sea anywhere in New Zealand.[2] A prominent feature surrounding much of the town is the man-made Lake Dunstan. Cromwell also has the newly constructed Highlands Motorsport Park. Nearby settlements are at Bannockburn, Lowburn, Tarras, and Ripponvale.

Cromwell is also the home of the Cromwell Chafer Beetle

Sebab belum musim buah, so harapan nak makan buah terbantut. Lagipun cuaca renyai renyai buat kami malas nak singgah lama.

Cromwell pernah menjadi kawasan tumpuan kerana penghasilan emas satu ketika dulu

Ladang anggur. Tapi masih belum tumbuh disebabkan cuaca sejuk

Tapi aku still berazam nak buat skydiving.

Laluan melintasi Lindis Pass

Memang geram nak berhenti.

This alpine area of tall, tussock-covered mountains is beautiful in every season, but with a dusting of snow it's particularly enchanting.

Penanda jalan

Lindis Pass (elevation 971 m) is located in the South Island of New Zealand.

It lies between the towns of Cromwell in Central Otago and Omarama in North Otago, on the main inland route to the Mackenzie Basin in the Canterbury Region.

The pass lies between the valleys of the Lindis and Ahuriri Rivers.

State Highway 8 transverses the pass on its route from the Mackenzie Basin to Central Otago. The pass is the highest point on the South Island's state highway network, and the second highest point on the New Zealand state highway network, after the Desert Road (SH 1) in the Central North Island. Despite this, it is not considered one of the alpine passes as it located in the dry interior of the South Island.

Tempat dia memang lawa

Masa kami berhenti di sini siap flurries turun. Bertambah sejuk

Sempat jugak singgah tepi jalan nak terkencccc

Laluan selepas tu pun lawa lawa.

Sampai satu simpang, aku nampak sign.

Lake Ohau !

Tengok masa macam masih awal.

Tengok view. Macam menarik juga !

Jauh jugak nak masuk ke dalam. Jalan sunyi dan tak de sebarang kenderaan. Tapi bila dekat kawasan tasik tu nampak view agak menarik. Cuma cuaca je mendung dan berkabus.

Pelangi

Lake Ohau

Cuaca masih mendung nak hujan

Barbara pun dah mula menjerit jerit.

Nasib la mood aku baik, kalau tak memang aku selam Barbara tu dalam tasik Ohau ni. Biar dia rasa sejuk di kala api panas membara !

Di pinggir Lake Ohau

Lake Ohau

Lake Ohau is a glacial lake in the Mackenzie Basin of New Zealand's South Island. It is fed by the Hopkins and Dobson rivers, which have their headwaters in the Southern Alps, and has its outflow in the Ohau River, which itself feeds into the Waitaki River hydroelectric project.

Ohau is the smallest of three roughly parallel lakes running north-south along the northern edge of the Mackenzie Basin (the others are Lake Pukaki and Lake Tekapo). It covers 60 km².

The Ohau ski field is located close to the southwestern shore of the lake.

Sambung tidur semula.

Then aku drive lagi keluar ke jalan besar.

Dan meneruskan perjalanan ke Lake Tekapo

Singgah sekejap di Lake Pukaki

View tak terang sebab cuaca mendung dan berawan

Pemanduan terakhir

Makan malam dihidangkan. Service oleh Beyonce yang masih mampu bertahan !

Dan konon malam tu nak pegi ke Church of Good Shepherd di Lake Tekapo untuk stargazing.

Kami keluar pukul 10 malam. Cuaca punya lah sejuk. BW siap bawak comforter dan selimut hotel lagi.

Duduk nak skodeng bintang bintang di sini.

Misi gagal !

Haram tak nampak apa apa pun.

Ada sorang makcik cina ni tanya IH pukul berapa patutnya datang kalau nak tengok milky way. IH bantai cakap datang balik midnight nanti kalau nak tengok. Hahaha. Mintak mintak makcik tu tak dengar cakap IH sebab aku yakin memang takkan nampak sampai ke sudah.

Bintang tak der. Awan mendung mungkin melindungi semuanya. Ditambah dengan suhu yang teramatlah sejuk. Tak de rezeki nak ber star gazing dan usha milky way di Lake Tekapo ni.

Lagipun kat skrin hp aku dah ada gambar milky way. Tengok sini je sudah ! * mati lah

Sedikit kecewa dan patah hati. On the way balik bilik, ada sekumpulan makcik makcik dari mainland kot lepak ramai-ramai kat luar masing-masing berkelubung dengan selimut bilik.

............. It is end of the road. Macam sayang lagi. Macam masih tak puas lagi.............. !

Girl, you know we belong together
I have no time for you to be playing with my heart like this
You'll be mine forever, baby, you just see

We belong together
And you know that I'm right
Why do you play with my heart?
Why do you play with my mind?

Said we'd be forever
Said it'd never die
How could you love me and leave me
And never say goodbye?

When I can't sleep at night without holding you tight
Girl, each time I try I just break down and cry
Pain in my head oh I'd rather be dead
Spinnin' around and around

Although we've come to the end of the road
Still I can't let you go
It's unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you
Come to the end of the road
Still I can't let you go
It's unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you

Girl, I know you really love me,
You just don't realize
You've never been there before
It's only your first time

Maybe I'll forgive you, hmm
Maybe you'll try
We should be happy together
Forever, you and I

Will you love me again like you loved me before
This time I want you to love me much more
This time instead just come to my bed
And, baby, just don't let me down

Although we've come to the end of the road
Still I can't let go
It's unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you
Come to the end of the road
Still I can't let go
It's unnatural, you belong to me, I belong to you

Girl, I'm here for you
All those times at night when you just hurt me
And just run out with that other fella
Baby, I knew about it, I just didn't care
You just don't understand how much I love you do you?
I'm here for you
I'm not out to go out and cheat on you all night
Just like you did, baby, but that's all right
Hey, I love you anyway
And I'm still gonna be here for you 'till my dying day, baby
Right now, I'm just in so much pain, baby
'Cause you just won't come back to me
Will you? Just come back to me

(Lonely)
Yes, baby, my heart is lonely
(Lonely)
My heart hurts, baby
(Lonely)
Yes I feel pain too
Baby, please

This time instead just come to my bed
And, baby, just don't let me down

bersambung.........
